Saturday - Sunday, 25th - 26th September 2010 | Operation Neptune WW2 re-enacment event dedicated to the largest military invasion of the 20th Century, the D-Day Landings of June 6th, 1944. By using a combination of simulated battles, static displays of military vehicles and equipment; period military camps and numerous other scenarios, the event will offer a fantastic oppurtunity for local residents and visitors to the area to learn more about the history of the invasion. The event is free to attend for spectators and re-enactors.
The event is scheduled to take place over the weekend of the 25th & 26th September, 2010. Re-enactment groups and other exhibitors are welcome to arrive on Friday 24th September in order to prepare their displays and camps. Displays are allocated on large flat-standing grassed areas, allowing for a wide range of scenarios and sizes. The event also comprises a large area of sand dunes, which will be made available to groups for camping and display areas if desired. The camping / display locations will be kept to strictly authentic tentage and camping equipment. Saturday - Sunday, 13th - 14th August 2011 | Combined Ops - IMPS Military Show and Classic Aircraft Week-end The Invicta Military-Vehicle Preservation Society and Headcorn Aerodrome present another great military and flying week-end at Headcorn Aerodrome, near Maidstone, Kent.
Including: A ‘fly-in’ of classic Military and Civilian aircraft, operating continuously throughout the whole week-end, and featuring displays by a famous WW2 Battle of Britain Hurricane, and a classic US Mustang, fighters.
